Situated in the heart of 1066 Country, St. Leonards Primary provides continuity of education for children aged 4–11. With around 410 pupils from our rich and diverse community, we are committed to helping each child realise their full potential.
Our Christian values are clear in all that we do. We aim to instill in all our children a sense of confidence and belief in their own abilities and to encourage them to be independent and responsible.
As every child arrives at St. Leonards Primary with individual skills and knowledge, we understand that they will learn and develop in different ways and at different rates. This is why the curriculum is regularly reviewed and refined, in order that it includes, challenges and motivates all learners.
Above all, we want to be a place in which pupils and staff have fun and enjoy their days at the Academy. This is a relaxed, safe and happy environment where everybody knows your name and something about you.
By the time children leave St. Leonard’s Primary Academy they are well equipped for their lifelong learning ahead of them.
St Leonards C of E Primary Academy has a link with Grafton Methodist School in Western Rural District, Freetown, Sierra Leone. This enables the sharing of ideas, global learning and collaborative projects.
